For you first attempt as freezing movement in waterfalls I find this a pleasing picture, and you have succeeded in getting the result you wanted very well. But I wonder, have you cropped this photo from the original? I think it would have had more impact had you been further away and shown some of the surrounding scenery. As it is there, it looks a bit muddled and it could be some falling water from a garden ornament. But I suspect that is is a local waterfall and it would have been nice to have seen some surrounding scenery to show this. Even if there had been some rocks or grass that would have made more of an impact. While taking that photo it could have been an idea to go to the other extreme by setting the shutter speed to something like 1/30th or 1/20th. That would have given the effect of a soft focus in the moving water, something I think looks extremely pleasing. But this one that you shot is good and you have frozen the water very well. I do also like the liting effects on the water, particulally on the left.
