This is a very poor photo that I have managed to restore using GIMP, of an oil painting that I did back in January 2000 when I was recovering from a broken arm.
I somehow managed to produce this with my right arm in plaster and sling as part of my physiotherapy....and yes, I am right handed, before anyone asks the question!
The bad news is that it would not have been half as good if my arm had not been broken at the time! Things like that help you to concentrate more, I think.
i just saw this, and i fell in love with it. this is a perfect example of a rustic tuscan picture, which is one of my favorite genres of art. this is a painting that i would buy and hang in my kitchen. this would also make a great tile backsplash that would be perfect inside a traditional italian kitchen. it is absolutly amazing thst you were able to make this picture with your arm in a sling and plaster. i could not imagine this picture being any better even with your arm not being broken. you should definatly put a print of this up for sale on here with a frame. it would sell in a heartbeat. this definatly deserves a
I believe that having a sense of what looks good and what does not 'work' is far more important than artistic technique now that technology is gradually taking over traditional artistic skills. I have had a quick look at your gallery (a longer one will follow), and you certainly have a brilliant feeling for what I believe to be 'interesting', and I'm certain that I am not the only one thinking that! Some of the best/most interesting art is very simple technically after all, and some of the most technically perfect works often leave me cold!
Yes ur right , Digital art/technology has created another art niche which is booming & its more @ the fore than ever before ..........Still , tis the traditional artist that admire most - I return the nice gesture and will keep in touch
